11.30 RUBIO CANYON PLANT WALK
San Gabriel Mountains
near Altadena, CA
10am-1pm
From Yucca and Dudleya-dotted craggy slopes of coastal sage scrub to rich riparian corridors with silver-barked Alder trees, the San Gabriel Mountains host many diverse natural communities.
We cannot tend for those we do not know–let’s gather to grow intimacy with the flora where we live, together!
This is a moderately difficult trail! We go at a slow pace, but expect some elevation changes, scrambling, and narrow steep paths. If you have questions about access please email. (I always welcome the opportunity to lead accessible walks.)
Sliding Scale $15-25. NOTAFLOF. If you need a lower cost or free space due to economic hardship, email rose.plantfriends@gmail.com
10am to (about) 1pm. This walk is in the Angeles National Forest near Altadena. Detailed meeting location sent to registrants!

This scale seeks to (imperfectly) account for a wide imbalance of inherited wealth and privilege in our culture. I ask those of you with privilege and resources to connect to your own sense of abundance and generosity, while those with less I invite to ask for support in the form of a payment plan/by paying on the lower end of the scale when needed. Income is an incomplete picture - if you are the recipient of intergenerational wealth even if your income is small, please consider paying on the higher end of the scale <3
